During his career, David Politis has helped transform such breakthrough ideas as spider-venom-based drugs, MP3 player technologies, and electric bicycles into multi-billion-dollar products, services, and industries.
As a seasoned marketing/communications professional, David has served employers and clients alike with strategic business, marketing, messaging, communications, and public relations counsel and implementation campaigns each designed to drive bottom line results and increased valuations, including firms such as Apple, GTE, SANYO, and Schwinn, among others.
David has also helped clients drive hundreds of millions of dollars in new sales opportunities, while also winning hundreds of client awards, ranging from TIME’s Best Inventions of the Year to Popular Science’s Product of the Future Award.
Previously, he was also the Publisher and Vice President, Content for Silicon Slopes, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on supporting and promoting the technology, startup and business communities of Utah. Additionally, David was Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer for MULTIVOICE where he led renaming, rebranding and marketing / corporate communications efforts for the firm. He was also CMO for Xi3 Corporation, an emerging startup he helped grow from 4 to 100 employees within three years.
David’s first book — 66 RULES for Publicity Success: Boost Your Company’s Value for Pennies on the Dollar — was published in 2016. Through Utah Money Watch, (an online media property he founded and operates), he currently publishes regular news reports and analyses on the financial and monetary doings of Utah-focused businesses, organizations, entrepreneurs, and investors. David received his Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Brigham Young University, and in his spare time, he likes fishing, playing volleyball, reading science fiction, preparing for his next tropical destination getaway, and spending time with his family.
