About
I am a vascular surgeon with a decade of experience in advanced clinical practice and a deep-rooted passion for technology. Currently, I proudly serve as a vascular surgeon within the Intermountain Health system at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, UT.
My career is characterized by an unwavering commitment to patient care, medical education, and quality improvement. As an adjunct clinical professor at Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine and Rocky Vista University, I have the privilege of mentoring the next generation of medical professionals. My leadership extends to the Vascular Quality Initiative (VQI), where I hold the position of Assistant Regional Medical Director for the Rocky Mountain Region and am an active member of the national participation committee.
While my surgical career has been profoundly rewarding, I am increasingly focused on the intersection of medicine and artificial intelligence. This interest is rooted in my early background in information systems at Brigham Young University and my dedication to addressing the inefficiencies in modern healthcare, including the burdens of electronic health records that contribute to physician burnout.
My ambition is to leverage an upcoming master's degree in bioinformatics and artificial intelligence to establish a robust clinical vascular research program, train future physicians at Noorda COM and the newly announced BYU medical school, and seamlessly integrate machine learning into daily clinical practice. I am passionately driven to restore the human touch in medicine, enabling clinicians to devote more time to their patients and experience greater fulfillment in their profession. I am eager to connect with like-minded professionals and organizations that share a vision for healthcare innovation, medical technology, and enhancing the patient-physician relationship.
